Hi Dear Fans,
I am back to say a quick hello and to let you know about new updates in the world of Irena Hart.
Let’s see… well, I just found out that my single, On The Dance Floor and another one, Nothing to give you has played on a new Reality Show on CW called Fly Girls. The names of the episodes are Third Wheel and Cabin Pressure. The reality show is about 5 flight attendants on Virgin America, which for those who know me well, is my favorite air line and Richard Branson is my hero. I wonder if he has heard the two songs? I am really excited to think that he has because he has met the cast of Fly Girls. I have not been able to see the episodes so if anyone can help me get a copy of those episodes, I would be so happy.
Well, other than this news, Buddy Valiante and I performed at Desmond’s Tavern a few days ago, October 20th… that was really cool… i may have a new promoter and he sent a few people there and Buddy and I also brought a couple of our friends.
THe place was busy but we did not get to play as long as we wished we could. I think in the future, we are only going to accept bookings where we are the only act for the entire night. The promoter is new and only had one day to invite guests, so we are going to have to see how he does next time. I am looking for the right promoter and for the right venues to showcase Valiante Hart. FTC may be one place where we could perform… I have wanted to play there for a very long time and have not done so yet. We are looking to add musicians to the Valiante Hart act… The way we played at Caffeine on October 7th was the best… We start out as a band Valiante Hart and play a few originals that way, then I go on solo, then Buddy goes on solo, then we invite a few featured guest and then we close the night with another set by Valinate Hart. It is a work in progress.
Any comments or recommendations are welcome. Also we are looking for musicians, mainly base and drums but also open to string instruments and other original singer/songwriters who would like to join us on occasion at various venues in the area.
Thanks again for all your comments, I just approved about 500 tonight… getting better at doing that.
Have a great week.
Love,
IRena

So here is the story on why and how i approved all my 11,000 comments that have been building up here and that I have neglected for almost 6 months.
I got this engineering job for the summer, actually it was supposed to last a lot longer but so far it seems that i had it for the summer because it is on hold now. Well, as always the money I got from the engineering job I used to promote my dream, my music and the film that I have been working on, Bermuda Road, a story about a girl who moved to the United States from Ukraine and became an international pop star… her journey took many twists and turns. Well, as I was writing the story, loosely based on my life (but with a Hollywood spin on it) I realized that I was stuck and I did not have a good ending for the story and the characters were not developed enough in terms of they did not go thru enough pain and suffering and did not grow and transform enough… Victoria, the leading character needed to be discovered. The story also talks about the infinity of probable futures and that we get to say how our future is going to turn out (weather we are aware of it or not – we create our future moment by moment with the power of what we believe is possible.) Well, I was visiting my parents with my daughter. We met in Delaware ( half way between CT and North Carolina – i guess a bit closer to CT) and my mother ended up really hurting my feelings about my music. She has always been pretty insensitive to the fact that I am a professional musician. She never got me and my whole time growing up she was not supportive of my wanting to be a singer – I believed her and thought I could not sing – so I used to lip sinch in a high school choir. But I always just wanted to be a singer I just did not believe it was possible. To do the impossible you first must see the invisible (that’s what David Murdock, the owner of Lanai, an island in Hawaii, says. So I had to see that it was possible for me to become what I really wanted. And over the years I did see it. First by singing in my car and in the shower, then by being able to sing Karaoke with the help of my dearest friend and room mate at the time, Alyssa – and when I sang Madona, Material girl all the people at the Groto gave me a standing ovation and later again at an open mic night in South Norwalk when I sang What’s Up by 4 non blonds and the band just appeared behind me and backed me up – to see that crowd of people singing along with me – to feel that energy and the love returning to me – I knew I belonged on that stage, and since that moment, all my reservations were gone and i never looked back. But getting back to the movie and my mom hurting my feelings, well I got really angry about how she still did not get me and what I was all about. So out of anger, I called a radio promoter and started a new promotion of my Dance single, On The Dance Floor. and just like that it got a lot of visibility and air play on college radio, and i made tee shirts and hats and pens and stuff and sent them out to the DJ’s and everyone loved On The Dance Floor and it is moving up on the charts of some college radio. DJ Booggie from B96 in Chicago said a few nice things about the songs and I wanted to ask Nile Rogers, a dear friend of mine, to say something about the song. So Nile invited me to his house for dinner. His housekeeper makes the best ice tea and fish soup ever!!! as we were having soup talking about stuff – his book signing on October 20th in NYC – same night as my show at Desmond’s Tavern on Park Avenue. We were talking about his blog and how he has been blogging daily . Well I told him that I have all these comments on both my websties – here on www.irenahart.com and also about 50,000 comments on Harmony4kidz site that I just stopped approving because I got busy with this and that. Well, Nile urged me to start approving those comments and told me that he loves approving his and connecting with his fans and how important it is to do so. I realized then that I had to do that but thought it would take me forever to approve them. So last night I started working on it and I just could not stop until every single one of them was done. Now I am up to date and I feel great about it. The engineering job is on hold so I do have some free time again and I am so glad that I am able to do both – but music is my true love and I can’t imagine life without it. I know that the movie, Bermuda Road will come together, I already have a lot of interest in the film and as the film is being written it is writing the real story. In the end it is not about the fame and fortune, it is about following your heart, doing what you love, and inspiring others to do the same. That is what life is all about. I feel very lucky and truly blessed that I can do that. Thank you, Nile, for reminding me that connecting with everyone on here is so important. I will write some thing on here every day now, not sure how that will look but I want to reach out to you all every day and let you know what is going on in my world. Please continue to send me all your love and support because it means so much to me.
Thank you all!!!!
Love,
Irena

Hello everybody,
I have some new ideas to share with you. Today I went to a community event in NYC – where people talk about transformation and possibilities. on the Train home I was talking to a woman who was at the event about what would it be like if everyone all over the world stopped for 3 minutes and sang a song together- in the name of World Peace – in different languages or in the same – or maybe they just hummed the melody, people would not have to buy a ticket or go anywhere, they would just have to know when to do it – so that we can all Harmonize for Peace together. I realized that one way to make it happen is to start doing it every day at a certain time, until more and more people find out about it and it picks up momentum. We can tell everyone we know, get the media and the celebrities and the politicians involved. Music does not create pollution so for those 3 minutes the world would be detoxing and taking a deep breath of peace and harmony, music is powerful and sending positive sound waves thru the air would be a life altering experience for all of us. What if we can make this happen? All the people on the train were willing to do it. Everyone i spoke with so far was into it. So here is my promise, I promise that starting tuesday, January 11, 2011 – that’s on 1-11-11 I will commit to singing a song at 2pm eastern/ 11am pacific – I will start with singing Save The World – the song that came to me in a dream after I met the homeless kids in Union Square.
I will continue to sing it every day and I will seek out media, celebs and technology – to increase the amount of people who are singing with me, until one day – we are all singing together, one song at the same time all over the world.
I am really excited about this new undertaking. I am committed but not attached to the outcome. All I know is that I have dedicated my life to transforming the world through positive music. I hope you join me in this transformation. Let’s all create the world we love and the life that is full of happiness, peace and love.
xoxo,
Irena

Dear fans,
I just wanted to thank you for all your comments. From now on I will write to you frequently and let you know what I am up to.
This year I went on a national tour for www.harmony4kidz.org – you can read all about it on the harmony4kidz blog
www.harmony4kidz.org/blog We went to the Hamptons, NYC, Cape Cod, Boston, Chicago, Mineappolis, Jackson, Sedona, Grand Canion and L.A.
we performed at schools and at cool venues, got lots of press and met lots of people along the way. Save The World, Heart Strings and other positive songs

We set out to Save The World and found love in our own hearts.
